SJR 53 - This constitutional amendment if passed by the voters will change the number of members of the General Assembly. Beginning with the ninety-second General Assembly, the resolution proposes that the House of Representatives will consist of one hundred five members and the Senate will consist of thirty-five members. Currently, there are one hundred sixty-three members of the House of Representatives and thirty-four members of the Senate.
