SB 1045 - This act divides the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, which currently consists of Cass and Johnson counties. Beginning August 28, 2000, Cass County shall remain the Seventeenth Circuit, and Johnson County shall become the Forty-Sixth Circuit. Each of the current judges shall retain their seat until the expiration of their term, but the judge of the current Division II, Seventeenth Circuit, shall become the judge for the Forty-sixth Circuit. Cass County shall receive an additional circuit judge and associate circuit judge, both of whom shall be elected in 2002.
