AN ACT
To repeal section 42.100, RSMo 1994, relating to Missouri veterans' homes, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the same subject.
Section A. Section 42.100, RSMo 1994, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 42.100, to read as follows:
42.100. 1. The commission shall maintain such facilities for the care of veterans who require institutional health care services as shall be funded by appropriations of the general assembly. Such facilities shall be known as "Missouri Veterans' Homes".
2. The commission shall provide services to ensure that each veterans' home meets the spiritual and religious needs of its veterans through qualified chaplains. The commission shall make all rules and regulations necessary for the management and administration of the homes and for the admission and discharge of residents of the homes. All rules and regulations pertaining to the admission and discharge of residents shall be consistent with the provisions of sections 42.002 to 42.140.
