AN ACT
To amend chapters 207 and 660, RSMo, by adding thereto two new sections relating to sovereign immunity.
Section A. Chapters 207 and 660, RSMo, are amended by adding thereto two new sections, to be known as sections 207.024 and 660.673, to read as follows:
207.024. The sovereign immunity of the division of family services from liability and suit for compensable damages for negligent acts or omissions is hereby expressly waived for injuries arising out of the care, treatment or statutorily required services provided by the division. Immunity is waived for injuries directly inflicted by employees and those directly resulting from the negligent selection, inspection, supervision or control over independent contractors.
660.673. The sovereign immunity of the division of aging from liability and suit for compensable damages for negligent acts or omissions is hereby expressly waived for injuries arising out of the care, treatment or statutorily required services provided by the division. Immunity is waived for injuries directly inflicted by employees and those directly resulting from the negligent selection, inspection, supervision or control over independent contractors.
