Senator Lamping Presents Resolution
as Part of Immigrant Heritage Month

JEFFERSON CITY — Today, Sen. John Lamping, R-Ladue, presented a Senate resolution to Dr. Naveed Razzaque in honor of his accomplishments as an immigrant who has become a cornerstone of his community.

The month of June marks the first ever Immigrant Heritage Month, which is a nationwide effort to share the inspirational stories of immigrants who have helped shape our country.

“By any measure, Dr. Razzaque is an accomplished and integral part of our community,” said Sen. Lamping. “The fact that he immigrated to the United States to complete a medical residency, and has since become such a valued leader, serves to show his incredible determination and dedication. I am more than happy to honor him with a Senate resolution.”

Dr. Razzaque immigrated to the United States from Pakistan after receiving his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his medical residency at the University of Missouri–Kansas City.  In 2010, he was appointed as medical director for SSM Health Care’s Senior Services Continuum of Care, and he serves as medical director for additional senior living facilities in St. Louis County.  He has been certified in internal medicine for 27 years by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
