JEFFERSON CITY—Senator Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors, announced today her 2013 Community Services Directory (CSD) will arrive shortly in the mailboxes of many 13th District residents. The directory contains the numbers and addresses of local and state government agencies and non-profit organizations that offer assistance to constituents.

Senator Walsh hopes the CSD will make more people aware of what government programs are offered to citizens. 

“There are numerous state and local services available for those who need assistance, but the majority of people don’t take advantage of them because they simply don’t know they exist,” said Sen. Walsh. “This CSD is a great reference on how local and state government can help its citizens and what programs are out there. And, it contains the contact numbers for local, state and federal elected officials, including myself, so residents can stay engaged with the political process, a vital part of a functioning democracy.”
