Senator Scott Sifton Chosen to Serve on
Missouri Veterans Commission

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Scott Sifton, D-Affton, has been picked to sit on the Missouri Veterans Commission.

“This is truly an honor. I cannot wait to get started serving on this esteemed panel,” Sen. Sifton said. “We must do all we can for our veterans, and this commission is dedicated to helping our retired Armed Forces members in every way possible.”

The Missouri Veterans Commission is a state agency established by Missouri statute to aid all veterans, their dependents and legal representatives by providing information regarding the rights of veterans and their dependents and to assist veterans accessing their available benefits through the state and federal government.

“Veterans’ issues were among my priorities when I served in the Missouri House, and I will continue to focus on veterans’ issues in the Missouri Senate,” Sen. Sifton said.

In addition to his new duties on the Missouri Veterans Commission, Sen. Sifton is also a member of the Senate Veterans' Affairs and Health Committee.
