During a Senate seminar held on Jan. 12, 2010, lawmakers listened to comments from the chairs of the Senate's 2020 committees. In 2009, the Senate President Pro Tem created three committees to develop strategic plans for improving job creation, bringing more people into health coverage, and educating the citizens of Missouri. Senator Tom Dempsey chairs the Missouri Senate Job Creation 2020 Committee.
