SB 297 - This act allows certified registered nurse anesthetists, APN titled, (CRNA) and nurses under CRNA supervision to prescribe, administer, and dispense controlled substances. Graduate physicians under CRNA supervision may prescribe controlled substances. They may not, however, administer or dispense such substances when under CRNA supervision.

A new Section 335.097 is added allowing CRNAs to prescribe and administer those drugs and devices that are customarily used by CRNAs within the time surrounding the patient's operation. CRNAs may allow others authorized under this section to prescribe and administer the same.
