SB 632 - This act deals with health care coverage for certain uninsured individuals. The act defines an uninsured individual as someone who has not been eligible for employer subsidized health care insurance coverage for six months, and who is not eligible for Medicaid.



CHILDREN - The act expands medical coverage to include uninsured individuals under 19 with available income up to 300% of the federal poverty level. It also covers uninsured individuals under 19 attending a school in a district where 50% or more of the total enrollment consists of children from low income families.

PARENTS - The act expands coverage to include uninsured women who would lose eligibility for Medicaid 60 days after the birth of a child. The act also covers uninsured custodial and non-custodial parents with available income up to the federal poverty level.

OTHERS - The act expands coverage of health care to include uninsured individuals moving from welfare to work with available income up to 300% of the federal poverty level.
