This bill provides victims of certain crimes the right to be
present at all criminal proceedings at which the defendant has a
right to be present.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Criminal Law by a vote of 15 to 0.

This bill provides victims of certain crimes the right to be
present at all criminal proceedings at which the defendant has a
right to be present.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill allows victims of
crimes to be present at hearing or trial of the accused even
when the victim is a witness at the trial.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Parker; Office of
the Attorney General; and Missouri Victims Assistance
Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
