COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on Ways and Means by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill expands the definition of community service allowing
neighborhood assistance funds to be used for transportation
services at below cost rates for the elderly and disabled.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill will lay the
groundwork for obtaining additional resources for community
public transportation development.
