Current Bill Summary

SB 966 - Beginning in April 1999, the St. Louis school board shall consist of nine elected members and three ex-officio members: the Presidents of St. Louis University, the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Harris-Stowe College or their designees. The act provides a transition over a 6 year period from electing 4 members every 2 years for 6 year terms to electing members to 4 year terms with the following 4-year cycle: 3, 3, 3 and 0 members, respectively (beginning April 2005).
