HCS/SB 963 - This act allows nursing and residential care facilities the opportunity to complete expansion projects after the July 11, 1998 deadline. Facilities that have notified the Certificate of Need Committee about projects that will expand a facility's bed capacity shall be allowed a commercially reasonable time to complete and license beds associated with such projects.
The act also adds residential care facilities, skilled
nursing facilities, diagnostic imaging centers, and radiation
therapy centers to the definition for "health care facilities".
