SB 807 - This act authorizes county boards for developmental disabilities, known as "SB 40 boards", to provide "related services" as defined in this act to cover services needed by persons with developmental disabilities, except that all new "related services" provided after the August 28, 1998, shall be provided under a contract with the county board.

Each county board shall establish an advisory council as specified in the act. The advisory council shall coordinate an independent community needs assessment, assist in creating a plan to address the identified needs and make an annual report on progress in implementing the plan.

The act provides that the county board shall have full control over all activities of the board, in addition to the facilities established by the board. The county board may expend its funds for any purpose authorized for county boards in Sections 205.968 to 205.972, RSMo.
