Current Bill Summary

SB 758 - This act:

(1) Defines a partial-birth abortion as an abortion in which a child is (a) intentionally delivered a considerable part of the way out of the womb for the purpose of killing the child, or (b) killed while the child is considerable part of way out of the womb;

(2) Makes a person who knowingly performs a partial-birth abortion guilty of a Class A felony, punishable by 10 to 30 years, or life imprisonment; and

(3) Makes a person who kills a child born live after an abortion attempt guilty of second degree murder, also a Class A felony.
