SB 723 - This act would allow persons 65 years of age or older to receive a scholarship consisting of free tuition to any state educational institution. Recipients shall "audit" classes on a non-credit basis.

The eligibility for the scholarship shall be determined by the institution attended, and the recipient must satisfy all entrance requirements and course prerequisites of the institution. Each institution shall determine the number of students who will receive the scholarship based upon available classroom space after tuition-paying students have enrolled.

The institution may charge a registration fee not to exceed $25 per semester.

The provisions of this act were truly agreed to in HB 1694.
