SB 701 - This act addresses the asset eligibility requirements when determining public assistance benefits. It excludes the value of burial lots and amounts placed in funeral contracts from asset consideration.
The act also requires that when cancellations or
modifications occur with such contracts, refunds to beneficiaries
on public assistance shall be paid to the state up to the amount
of assistance provided.
