Current Bill Summary

SB 581 - This act provides that bonded indebtedness incurred by Linn State Technical College shall not be deemed an indebtedness of the state or the Board of Regents of the College. Existing law provides that such indebtedness shall be an indebtedness of the Board of Regents after the Linn State Technical College is established under Section 178.631, RSMo.

The act allows Linn State Technical College to participate with employers in the New Jobs Training Program established under Sections 178.892 to 178.896, RSMo, in the same manner currently provided for community colleges.

This act is similar to SB 22 from 1997.
