                              FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Economic Development (DED) - Professional
Registration (DPR) assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal
impact on their agency.

The new committee would replace the existing Advisory Committee for Licensed
Clinical Social Workers. Since committee members are currently reimbursed
for expenses related to committee business, no additional travel costs would
be necessary.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of
this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation would create within the Division of Professional
Registration (DPR) the State Committee for Social Workers. The bill would
contain provisions regarding the appointment of members, their expense
reimbursement, annual meetings and election of officers, the removal of
members and the qualifications of the public member of the Committee.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other
program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental
space.
