Bill Summary

SCS/HB 1523 - Personally identifiable records of public elementary and secondary school students shall only be available for inspection by school district employees, except as otherwise required by state law or federal regulation, and no such records shall be made available for inspection by any person other than a school district employee, except: with written permission of the student, if at least eighteen years of age, or the student's parent or guardian, or in response to a pending civil or criminal action.
