SCS/HB 985 - This act establishes the English language as the common language of Missouri. Courts have no jurisdiction to hear a claim based upon this act, and no liability is imposed upon the state of Missouri or its agents, employees or officials.

This act does not apply to sign language. This act shall not interfere with the resettlement of refugees and legal immigrants for a period of eight months after their arrival in the United States.
