Current Bill Summary

SB 775 - This act removes the prohibition on the use of funds from a tourism sales tax, at the present time, which only applies to the cities of Sikeston and Miner. Currently, these two cities may collect a tourism sales tax, but may only use the money for marketing and promotional purposes. Other cities that collect this tax may use the money for construction, maintenance and operation of convention and tourism facilities, as well as for marketing and promotional purposes.
