SCS/SB 670 - This act creates the "State Document Preservation Fund" in the State Treasury. All moneys received from gifts, bequests, or contributions for the purpose of preserving legal, historical and genealogical materials shall be deposited in the fund.

The General Assembly shall appropriate moneys from the fund to the Archives Division of the Secretary of State's Office to microfilm, microfiche and to preserve by any other means, specified categories of materials.

Once each year, the Secretary of State shall report on the expenditures from the fund to the General Assembly.
