SCS/SB 540 - This act allows for the transfer of control and management of the Missouri Rehabilitation Center from the Department of Health to the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri, upon agreement between the Department and the Board. The General Assembly shall appropriate funds to the Curators, as a separate line item, to maintain the Rehabilitation Center. All Rehabilitation Center personnel will be transferred to the employment of the Curators.
The act contains an emergency clause and would become
effective on July 1, 1996, or upon final passage and approval,
whichever later occurs.
