HCS/SS/SB 458 - This act makes several changes in salaries in nonchartered counties:

(1) In noncharter counties, the public administrator is to be included as a member of the salary commission.

(2) Mileage reimbursements for county commissioners would no longer be required by statute to be reimbursed at the end of each month.

(3) The salary commission in a second class county which becomes a first class county may be allowed to set compensation at more than one meeting before having to follow the provisions of (1) above.

(4) Mileage reimbursements for members of the sheriff's department shall be paid at the rate prescribed by the Internal Revenue Service. For 1995, this rate is 30 cents per mile.
