Current Bill Summary

HS/SB 374 - This act would require rules promulgated by the Department of Revenue to be approved by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules. The common rulemaking language would now be applicable to the Department of Revenue.

This act also allows electronically generated copies to be admissible in court and administrative proceedings. A certified computer printout of an individual driving record through the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System shall be admissible evidence in all courts of the state.

This act further exempts the sale of court transcripts and related items prepared by a court reporter from the sales tax provisions. (From SB 417).

Changes in policy or interpretation of law by the Department of Revenue shall be applied only prospectively.
