SB 314 - Upon voter approval of an additional one-eighth of one percent cent sales tax, the "Productive Living Fund for the Aging" will be created in the state treasury. The revenue generated by the one-eighth of one percent sales tax will provide additional moneys to be used by the Division of Aging.

The Division of Aging will use the additional moneys to provide further support to: (1) the home delivered meals programs; (2) in-home care services programs; (3) transportation services; and (4) the aging hotline and referral services. The administrative costs of increasing these services can not be more than 8% of the net annual revenues collected in the "Productive Living Fund for the Aging".

This act would appear on the November 1996 ballot for voter approval.
