SB 249 - This act increases the number of members on the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors from six to eight members, of which no more than four may be of the same political party. The two new members shall be either an officer, director or employee of a state registered third-party preneed seller.
The board members who represent the third-party preneed sellers must confine themselves to issues related to the sale of preneed funeral contracts under Chapter 436, RSMo.
A board member representing a third-party preneed seller may not be an officer on the Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.
No two members of the board may work as an employee, consultant, independent contractor, officer or director for the same business. RONALD J. LEONE
