SB 192 - The act requires the Secretary of State to select
four test areas for a voter information project. Any election
may be chosen for the test and registered voters will be mailed a
sample ballot two weeks before the election. The Secretary of
State will assess the effect of mailed ballots on voter knowledge
and turnout and shall submit a report to the Governor and the
General Assembly before January 31, 1998. Any rules promulgated
by the Secretary of State under this act are reviewable by the
Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.
