SB 180 - This act removes the limitations on campaign contributions enacted in SB 650 (1994) and removes the post election spend-down provisions contained in SB 650, leaving in place the campaign contribution limits and spend-down requirements adopted by the voters in Proposition A. The act also requires each candidate filing for office to certify that his campaign funds do not exceed the limits established in Proposition A (10 times the individual contribution limit for the office sought).

The act has an emergency clause.
