Current Bill Summary

HCS/SB 10 - The fees that may be charged by fee offices contracting with the Department of Revenue are increased. Fee offices can also charge fees for boat and outboard motor transactions.

The fees are graduated according to the number of annual transactions at the fee office as follows: Over 100,000 ------ $1.50 to 2.00 75,000 to 99,999 -- 1.75 to 2.25 50,000 to 74,999 -- 1.75 to 2.50 25,000 to 49,999 -- 2.00 to 2.75 Under 25,000 ------ 2.00 to 3.00

The Director of Revenue shall request fee agents to display state tax forms and information to the public.

EFFECTIVE DATE - July 1, 1996.
