HJR 18 - This resolution would submit a constitutional amendment which, if approved by Missouri voters, would extend the collection of the one-tenth cent state sales tax for state parks and soil conservation until December 31, 2006. The current authorization for this tax will expire on November 8, 1998.

The resolution specifies that moneys expended for state parks and state historic sites shall be expended through the Division of the Department of Natural Resources which is responsible for the state park system. Moneys arising from this tax shall be expended pursuant to approporiation and only for the purposes set forth in the resolution.
