HB 716 -- Aftermarket Crash Parts
This bill requires that where nonoriginal equipment manufacturer aftermarket crash parts are used in preparing an estimate for repairs the written estimate prepared by the insurer or repair facility must clearly identify each such part. If nonoriginal equipment manufacturer aftermarket crash parts are used in repairing a vehicle, the owner of the vehicle must sign a written consent prepared by the insurer or repair facility for the use of such parts in the repair.
