HB 395 -- State Employees' Retirement System

This bill establishes that if a MOSERS member comes out of retirement into either an elected or appointed position of the state, then his or her creditable service towards retirement will be calculated as though the member had never retired or received any retirement benefits, as long as the member comes out of retirement before having received 6 monthly benefit checks and reimburses MOSERS for any money received as retirement benefits. A retired MOSERS member who would have qualified for increased benefits had he or she been an employee upon the effective date of this section will be entitled to increased benefits calculated as though he or she were an employee on the effective date.
