SCS/HB 363 - This act contains provisions for license plates for the disabled and special mobile equipment which do not need license plates.

DISABLED PLATES - License plates for physically disabled people shall be available for those who are blind. Handicapped license plates may be issued for commercial vehicles with a gross weight of up to 24,000 pounds, up from the current limit of 12,000 pounds. It shall be an infraction to park illegally in a handicapped parking place or in the access aisle. A physician's statement regarding handicaps shall contain the physician's professional license number. If no expiration date is recorded by the physician, a temporary placard shall be good for 30 days.

MOBILE EQUIPMENT - Special mobile equipment which does not need license plates may be operated along the highways on weekends and holidays in emergencies.
