HB 314 -- Nonprofit Human Service Providers
Under current law when a not for profit human services organization providing services to people with disabilities has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities or the Accreditation Council on Services for People with Disabilities, that accreditation is recognized as the equivalent of any state licensure or certification requirement by all state agencies when purchasing services on behalf of people with disabilities. This bill specifies that the services provided be for mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
