HB 264 -- City Police Force Salary Tables
This bill submits two revisions of the salary matrix for different levels of St. Louis City police officers: (1) for fiscal year 1996 and (2) for fiscal year 1997. The bill also adds the requirement that sergeants receive additional compensation at a rate of 1 1/2 times their regular hourly pay rate when they work hours that are greater than a sergeants' regular working hours while performing nonexempt duties. Nonexempt assignments qualify sergeants as nonexempt employees only for hours worked in excess of a sergeant's regular hours under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
