SJR 94 - This constitutional amendment, if approved by the voters, provides that the sheriff of St. Louis City shall appoint the Commissioner of Corrections who is responsible for operating and maintaining the city jail and such appointment shall be subject to the advice and consent of the Board of Aldermen. Additionally, this constitutional amendment provides that such officer shall be subject to removal by the Board of Aldermen by a two-thirds vote of the Board.
