Current Bill Summary

SB 1330 - This act provides that a public library, library board, member, officer, or trustee of a library board, or any librarian, employee, or agent of a public library or library board shall be held liable for damages for furnishing or allowing access of pornographic materials to a minor, regardless if the contents and character of the materials are known. Any action brought pursuant to this act shall be commenced within 15 years of the date of such furnishment or access provided to the minor. In addition to attorney's fees, a prevailing plaintiff shall be entitled to at least $25,000 for each occurrence, except such damages shall not exceed $100,000 for all claims arising out of a occurrence.
