SB 1235 - Under current law, offenses against special victims, as defined in law, have enhanced penalties for the offenses of assault. This act adds "any employee of an election authority" to the definition of "special victim."Additionally, this act provides that a person shall be guilty of the offense of unlawful posting of certain information over the internet when the person posts personal information of an employee of an election authority or personal information of his or her family members.
This act is identical to SB 643 (2023).
