Current Bill Summary

SB 67 - Under this act, any physician or health care provider who provides emergency medical screening, stabilization, transfer, or other health care services required by the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) shall not be liable for any civil damages for any acts or omissions in providing such services, unless it is proven by clear and convincing evidence that the physician or health care provider's actions or omissions constituted gross negligence.
