SCS/SB 689 - This act prohibits a registered sex offender from living within one thousand feet of the property line of his or her former victim's residence. The act also defined the points from which the distance between the offender's property and any prior victim, school, or child care facility's property shall be measured for the purposes of residence restrictions.

This act is identical to provisions in the truly agreed to and finally passed version of HB 1355 (2018), SCS/HB 1769 (2018), SCS/HCS/HB 2042 (2018), and HCS/SS/SCS/SB 966 (2018).
