SS/SB 579 - This act provides that persons convicted of certain offenses against law enforcement officers, firefighters, or emergency medical service providers are ineligible for bail, continuation of bail, probation, or parole. Certain persons convicted of resisting or interfering with arrest, detention, or stop are also ineligible for probation or parole.

This act is similar to provisions of SCS/SB 46 (2017) and provisions of SS#2/SCS/HCS/HBs 302 & 228 (2017).
