SB 1067 - This act requires that all electronic voting systems produce results from paper ballots marked by hand, or in the case of disabled voters who need assistance, from paper ballots marked by a paper ballot marking device designed to assist such voters.

The use of remaining direct-record electronic voting machines shall be phased out upon mechanical failure.

This act has a delayed effective date of January 1, 2019.

This act is substantially similar to a provision in SCS/HB 2208 (2018), SB 771 (2016), SB 399 (2015), SCS/SB 623 (2014) and similar to SCS/SB 375 (2013), SB 542 (2012), SB 418 (2011), and HB 1490 (2010).
