Current Bill Summary

SB 463 - Under current law, there is an executive director of the Missouri Ethics Commission who serves at the pleasure of the Commission, but in no event longer than 6 years. This act modifies that provision to enable an executive director to serve no more than two terms of six years each.

The act also modifies the duties and responsibilities of the Commission to enable it to receive and review complaints regarding alleged violation of provisions of the Constitution relating to campaign finance.

This act is similar to HB 1160 (2017).
