SB 403 - Currently, the Missouri Public Service Commission determines whether and to what extent any telecommunications company providing local service shall be eligible to receive funds from the Universal Service Fund (USF), with eligibility determined based upon certain factors including whether the company offers local service using its own facilities. This act specifies that a wireless telecommunications provider offering lifeline service shall be eligible to receive USF funds, whether or not such provider is a facilities-based or nonfacilities-based provider.
