SB 362 - This act requires a student to receive instruction in Braille reading and writing as part of his or her individualized education plan (IEP) unless, as a result of an assessment, instruction in Braille or the use of Braille is determined not appropriate for the child. This act creates a definition of "assessment" and modifies the definition of a "student".

This act is identical to provisions contained in HCS/HB 118 (2017) and similar to HB 2569 (2016) and HCS/HB 1003 (2015).
