Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 245 - This act requires the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP) to implement a shared savings incentive program no later than January 1, 2018. Enrollees will receive a portion of the money they save the plan by receiving health care services at a lower cost than the average price of a comparable procedure performed by an in-network provider.

This act also requires the plan to submit yearly reports to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and insurance committees in each legislative chamber including certain data about the program.

This act is similar to HB 123 (2017) and HB 125 (2017).
