SB 131 – Currently, most vehicles are required to have two license plates. Under this act, the state will only issue one license plate beginning August 28, 2018, to motorists unless the registered owner is eligible to receive a second plate.

This act is substantially similar to SB 586 (2014), and similar to SB 104 (2013) and HB 349 (2013). The provisions contained in this act were also contained in SB 570 (2012), SB 324 (2011) and SS/SCS/HB 2111 (2010).
